    Thank you for your question. Ask your internet provider whether they can give you a public IP. Some providers let you get a public IP by paying a small monthly add-on fee or by upgrading your internet plan. If your provider offers a dynamic public IP and a static public IP, either is fine (dynamic is usually less expensive).

    Could you share which internet providers you and the friend you couldn’t connect with use?
