I want to use FarPlay with a large ensemble like a chorus, an orchestra, or a singers’ master class. How many people can be in a FarPlay session at the same time?

FarPlay is ideal for sessions with up to around 8 participants, depending on the internet connections and computers used. Some of our users regularly host sessions with 10 participants without issue.
FarPlay would be better suited to sectionals than full chorus or full orchestra rehearsals. In a master class, cabaret, or karaoke event, small groups of performers could take turns using a FarPlay session, and the remaining audience could use a typical video conferencing application or livestream to listen in thanks to FarPlay’s Broadcast Output feature.
To provide the lowest latency possible, FarPlay uses p2p connections (every session participant is individually connected to every other session participant). This is why there is a practical limit on the number of session participants: Each additional participant increases the number of connections for everyone in the session.
