Reply To: Does FarPlay run on iOS devices (iPhones and iPads)?

wait, let me ask chatGPT
Using Ethernet with iPad (and why FarPlay can’t run on it):

You can hardwire an iPad to Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi — useful for low-latency apps in general (Zoom, Audiomovers, Jamulus, etc.).

USB-C iPads (work directly):

iPad Pro (2018 or later), iPad Air 4 or later, iPad mini 6, and iPad 10th gen.

→ Use a USB-C to Ethernet adapter (Apple, Anker, or Belkin).

Lightning iPads (need extra adapter):

iPad (9th gen and earlier), iPad mini 1–5, iPad Air 1–3, older iPad Pro.

→ Use Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter + a USB-to-Ethernet adapter + power supply.

Once connected, go to Settings → Ethernet to confirm the wired link.

Note: FarPlay itself does not run on iPadOS — only on macOS and Windows — because iPadOS doesn’t allow the low-level audio and network access FarPlay needs.

So Ethernet works fine on iPad, but FarPlay cannot currently be used there.
