Bring system audio into FarPlay using a Presonus Revelator mic/audio interface
-
Hi everyone,
On one of our YouTube videos showing how to bring system audio into FarPlay using BlackHole and our Input Mixer, a commenter wanted to know whether there was a similar workflow available for a Presonus Revelator mic or io24 audio interface.
Yes! It’s easy to bring system audio into a FarPlay session using the Revelator mic’s loopback function shown in Presonus’s video tutorial. Here’s an easy way to do it:
- Send system audio from your computer to Revelator Loopback 1.
- In the Revelator Mixer, under Mix/Phones, click Loopback 1.
- Mute the Playback track (but don’t mute the mic or Loopback 1 tracks).
- In FarPlay, for Devices > Microphone, choose Revelator Loopback 1, and, for Devices > Headphones, choose Revelator.
On the io24, the steps are similar, but the names of the devices/tracks are slightly different:
- Send system audio from your computer to Revelator IO 24 Stream Mix A.
- In the Revelator Mixer, under Mix, click Stream Mix A.
- Mute the Playback track (but don’t mute the mic or Virtual A tracks).
- In FarPlay, for Devices > Microphone, choose Revelator IO 24 Stream Mix A, and, for Devices > Headphones, choose Revelator IO 24.
Enjoy,
David Liao
