Hi!
If FarPlay 1.3.1 crashes on a Windows PC, please download and run this installer from Microsoft to update some components of Windows (earlier forum post is here).
Thank you,
David Liao
Ok, I was able to fix that issue. Now I have another issue. When I try to host a session, or join a session, remote audio constantly fails connection. I don’t know if it’s me or if it’s them. I did port forward 60000 – 60100, but I see no data on those ports, so I’m at a loss.
Here’s my one time session code if someone wants to try to hop in and see if it works: C439CE
No one showed up for 20 minutes. I have to close the session to get my kid to bed. I really wish we had a discord server for more expedient discussion.
Glad the crashing is fixed.
I’m kind of around for the next hour and could meet. Or, do you have a preferred time of day?
yeah I can do it in about a half hour that’s fine.
oh sorry I thought you said you’d be around half an hour from now. yeah let me setup the session. 8CE1A3
Thanks for helping me fix my audio issues David!! I’m sitting at 9ms local latency, WAY better than 36ms local latency lol. THANKS!
You’re welcome! Happy your audio is working. If you can use an audio interface with manufacturer-supplied ASIO drivers and set the ASIO buffer size down to 32 or 16 samples, you can bring down the local latency to a couple of ms.
