Farplay registers my microphone but not my keyboard through the audio interface

  • Dear Casey,

To bring both the microphone and keyboard into FarPlay, please look in the “You (…)” subpanel and make sure Channels: is set to Mono Mix 1-2, instead of, for example, Mono 1.

Since you’re using FarPlay on a new laptop, make sure you’ve installed the ASIO drivers for your Scarlett from Focusrite’s website, make sure that you’ve selected the ASIO drivers for your Scarlett in FarPlay’s Preferences > General Options (screenshot below shows microphone selection), and make sure that you’ve set your Scarlett’s ASIO buffer size to 16, 32, or 64 samples, as described in section 3 (“Configure and test your audio”) of the version of our QuickStart guide customized for Windows PCs with external audio interfaces.

We recommend going through the QuickStart guide when setting up FarPlay with new equipment, including a new computer.

    Thank you,
    David Liao
