I have tried unsuccessfully a couple of times to start a FarPlay session with a music instructor from whom I take lessons via Zoom. All my MacBook settings are as they should be and I have no trouble with volume levels when I try to match my instrument with sound from Apple Music or any other online source. However, when we try to connect on FarPlay, he hears me fine but I hear him only at extremely low volume. He regularly uses Farplay with other people, so I assume the problem isn’t at his end. Thanks for any suggestions. BTW, my OS is Monterey 12.6.5.

Dear Ian,

In the subpanel labeled by your instructor’s name (“Sample Remote User” in the example below), drag the Monitor slider toward the right to make your instructor louder in your headphones.

hello David, in my case, I cannot hear my music partner at all. (but he could hear me). Do you know how I can fixed this > I tried increasing his volumne, but didnt work unfortunately 🙁

Hi Soumi,

If you’re using headphones plugged into your computer, press the increase-volume button a few times (look on your keyboard for a key with a picture of a speaker; on MacBooks, this key is labeled F12).

If you’re using an audio interface, adjust the headphones-level knob.

In FarPlay’s Devices subpanel, make sure Headphones is set to the device your headphones are plugged into.
