Can I use multiple cameras on FarPlay teacher? If so, how many can I use, and what cameras would you recommend as an inexpensive set up? I’m

Hi Shon,

Thanks for your question. FarPlay doesn’t have a built-in way to use multiple cameras, so I use OBS to bring video from two cameras into FarPlay. OBS lets you combine video from as many cameras as your computer’s performance allows.

You could start with a $17 Logitech c270 for your face and a $25 Logitech Brio 101 for a guitar, for example. If you’d like to add an overhead camera for a piano, I’d use a webcam with a tripod thread, like the $70 Logitech c920. The tripod thread lets you use a boom arm to position the webcam above your hands. Use cameras of different models to avoid confusion and software incompatibility that can occur when multiple cameras are listed with the same name.
