Went from perfect to losing multiple connections (no longer can connect to more than 1 person at a time)

  • Dear Bob,

Thank you for your detailed post. Please use the steps below to authorize your copy of FarPlay.

    1. Open the FarPlay app.
    2. In the main FarPlay window, click the “Log in / Subscribe” button.
    3. In the My Account page that appears, click the “Authorize this device” button. A message should appear that confirms that you authorized your computer to use your FarPlay subscription.

You can bookmark these steps at our page of account-management instructions. The fresh copy of FarPlay you installed needs to be authorized to let you create multi-user sessions (and enjoy other subscription benefits, like recording).

I noticed you said you use Wi-Fi. If you make rhythmic music in sync with other people online, we recommend minimizing your latency using the two steps below.

    • Connect your Mac to your router using Ethernet, instead of Wi-Fi. Avoid repeater/extender routers and Ethernet-over-power adapters.
    • We also recommend using a wired external mic (even the mic that’s part of the wired Apple EarPods is great).

(But, if you’re not playing in sync, Ethernet isn’t required).

    Thank you,
    David Liao
