how to “unmute” my monitor

  • Here is a screen shot of my problem

    Dear Dale,

Thank you for your screenshot. In the “You (dale clark)” subpanel, click the blue “Mute” button circled in the photo below. This will unmute you.

    Thank you,
    David Liao

    Thank you David,

I did click the blue icon, and yes the mute on the bar disappeared….however, I am still muted. By this I mean, that the bar beneath my name dale, does not move according to my voice in my microphone (which is indicated as working). By “does not move”, I mean does not move at all in response to any voice I may enter into my microphone. The thin edge of a line at the left simply stays there unmoving.

I have a system now that seems to work well, until something like this happens, and it doesn’t seem to appear in the troubleshooting section, and after an hour of searching for what must be an obvious answer, I can solve the problem.

It interfered with my student today, and tomorrow at 1:00 MST, I am scheduled for a lesson with Jane Edgren. I hope you can help me solve this before then. Thank you very much for your help.

    Dale

    Dear Dale,

Thank you for your clarification. So happy we were able to meet to get FarPlay to receive your microphone audio just now. On your laptop PC’s keyboard, pressing the microphone-mute (F8) key solved the problem.

The key was originally illuminated, indicating the microphone was muted.

When the key is not illuminated, the microphone is unmuted.

    Thank you,
    David Liao
