Thanks for your question. Please have each musician try the following:

• Open a FarPlay session just by yourself (without connecting to anyone).
• In the You (…) subpanel, drag the Monitor slider to 0 dB.
  
• Listen for buzzing/humming. If you don’t hear buzzing/humming, the problem is coming from another musician, and you can simply return your local monitor slider back to muted (or wherever you prefer).
• If you do hear humming, see whether the suggestions below help, and feel free to let us know the audio equipment you’re using (I can try to give more specific suggestions).
  • If you’re using a headset plugged into the computer,
    • Try a different headset. For example, I tested a cheap Logitech headset that turned out to be noisy, so I point friends, instead, to the wired Apple EarPods.
    • Alternatively, try an audio interface (examples: Focusrite Scarlett or iRig Stream Mic USB).
  • Try connecting your computer to a different electrical outlet (in a different room, even).
