Headset extension cable

I play cello in farplay and use a simple headset with an extension because I need to be a bit farther from my laptop than the 48” of the headset. Same issue if I try to use the Apple ear pods. Tonight I was the only one of four of us who found that one person seemed to be cutting in and out so I am wondering if my headset or the extension is a weak link. Does anyone know of a headset without noise cancellation that has a longer cord? Or know of an extension that fits the Apple ear pods. the extension that I have (fits the 3.5 mm jack) is a little loose when I try to plug the ear pod jack into it. Thanks

Thanks for your questions. I’ll check today whether my Apple EarPods plug snuggly into this 3.5-mm TRRS extension cable I found on Amazon; I’ll let you know.
Hearing one remote musician cut in and out on your end (with no other audio problems in a multi-user session) sounds, to me, like a problem with network connectivity, rather than with your headset. Try rebooting your router and the router of the musician who cuts in and out in your headset. Also, if you’d like that musician to sound less crackly to you, drag the latency slider you see under their name a little bit to the right (learn more about our latency slider in this video).
