Can’t join session

    Thanks for your message. Could you and your friend try the following? You can try the suggestions in whatever order is convenient (might only need one of them).

    • On both computers, turn VPN off, if used.
    • Have your friend check that all his firewalls are off on his Windows PC. Sometimes a PC has two firewalls: the Windows Firewall and a second firewall that’s part of a 3rd-party security suite like Norton or AVG.
    • Reboot your routers.
    • Make sure each end uses a home fiber, cable, or vDSL connection, rather than a university/workplace network or 5G cellular connection.
    • Could you share a screenshot of the “FarPlay couldn’t establish a connection” message including the NAT information at the end of the message? We can use the NAT information to give more specific advice.

    Hi, David, thanks for the prompt response. I solved it. Saw a previous response of yours and it mentioned Mac date and time setup. Mine were out of whack, so corrected them and rebooted and we got the connection. All good for now. Cheers!
