I’m using Windows. I’ve followed instructions to use manufacturer-provided ASIO drivers for my audio interface, but the local latency FarPlay displays before I’ve connected to anyone else is still really high (maybe around 30 ms). How do I reduce my local latency?

Try reducing the size of your ASIO Buffer:
- Click on FarPlay’s menu. Click Settings.
- In the General Options tab of the FarPlay Preferences window that comes up, find the row labeled Audio Buffer Size.
- Click the ASIO Buffer Settings button to bring up the settings panel/application provided by your audio interface manufacturer
- Try to use a small ASIO Buffer size of 16 samples, 32 samples, or 64 samples. Even though 16 samples often easily achieves the lowest latency on a Mac, it might be the case that 32 samples, for example, gives better reported Local Latency on a Windows PC.
These steps might bring your latency down from around 30 ms to around a couple/few ms.
