Yes, there’s a free trial! The first month is free for both the Standard and Standard+ subscriptions. If you’d like the musician creating the sessions to be able to make multi-track recordings (they get a separate stem for each participant), have them try Standard+. Compare subscriptions here.

You only need to authorize the computer of the bandmate creating the session. You don’t have to authorize the devices of other bandmates. As long as a subscriber creates a session, the rest of your band can join that session (even if no one else has a subscription).

Each authorized device is a computer that can use a subscription’s features (like creating multi-user sessions). Authorizing multiple devices using the same subscription makes it convenient, for example, for a music teacher to use their subscription from their home computer and a computer at a music school (no need to deauthorize one computer before using subscription features on the second computer).
