Thank you for your message. Under Devices, make sure the Headphones are set to the headphones you’re using (or the sound card your headphones are plugged into).

Try dragging the monitor slider under the other person’s name toward the right. This should help the other person sound louder to you.

We recommend using the steps in our QuickStart guide. In particular, section 3 (“Configure and test your audio”) can be done before connecting with someone else.
