Hi Curt,
In a DAW, you can improve sync for audio you recorded for a particularly distant player. The screenshots below are from Garage Band, but the steps look similar in other DAWs, like Logic Pro.
Import the separate stems of your multitrack recording into your DAW. Place the playhead to the left of the musical performance.
In this example, the track labeled “Audio 2” belongs to the especially distant player. Select Audio 2. Split this track at the playhead (in Garage Band, Control-Click on the track, then choose “Split at Playhead”).
Click to select the portion of Audio 2’s track to the left of the playhead. Delete this portion.
Drag the remaining portion of Audio 2’s track a small amount to the left. Play the recordings to check whether the tracks are in sync. If not, drag the track for Audio 2 again.
