Reply To: How to output monitor before adding to mix on FarPlay?
Dear Morgan,
Thank you for your helpful clarifications.
If you have an audio interface with advanced routing/loopback capabilities, you can do the following (this method doesn’t use BlackHole).
- Tell Logic to use your audio interface as its output device. In Logic’s mixer, send your loops to outputs 5 and 6 and send your software instrument audio to outputs 7 and 8.
- In your audio interface’s mixing/routing software, send the audio on outputs 5, 6, 7, and 8 to your headphones mix and, at first, send only the audio on outputs 5 and 6 to the mix for the virtual input that you choose as the microphone in FarPlay.
- When you’re happy with how your software instrument sounds, use your audio interface’s software to send audio from outputs 7 and 8 to the mix for the virtual input FarPlay is using as its microphone.
Thank you,
David Liao
