With good internet connections, I’d expect roughly 80 ms of latency between Texas and Slovenia.

Make sure each musician uses Ethernet to connect their computer to the router that receives the internet signal where it first enters the home. Avoid wireless repeater/extender routers and Ethernet-over-power adapters.
Be sure to turn Wi-Fi off and VPN off, if used.
Use a landline (fiber, cable, or vDSL) internet connection at each end, rather than cellular internet.
Drag the latency slider as far to the left as you can while still hearing an acceptable amount of crackling (see 1-minute video explainer).
If someone uses Windows, have them try to reduce latency by using an audio device with manufacturer-supplied ASIO drivers (like the iRig Stream Mic USB). Ask them to follow the steps in section 3 of our QuickStart guide (they should use the version customized for Windows PCs with external audio interfaces here).
