Dear Frank,
Thanks so much for your suggestions!
When you say “waitlist” or “student’s queue”, do you mean, for example, a way to see a list of students waiting outside your room while you’re still teaching a current student? If so, click the unlocked padlock in the Session subpanel at the bottom of FarPlay’s main window to lock the room.

When the padlock is locked, arriving students go to a waiting room, and a pop-up message lets you choose which to let in.

We have detailed instructions for our waiting room on our account-management page.
Or, did you mean something else by “waitlist” or “student’s queue”?
Thank you,
David Liao

I currently use that. What I mean is see an actual list in case there are multiple students. I do use the lock plus we use Wirecast to for advanced video features like logo, lower thirds, etc. We do use several things. I am thinking more of a way to improve it and take FarPlay up another notch.
Same with integrations with My Music Staff, or even calendars just like zoom and other systems.
Again, just thinking of other nice things to add to take the product to another level.
Thank you for your clarification. I will bring your suggestions to the team.
Thank you,
David Liao
I’ve yet to have two students waiting at a time, so I’m not sure how that would look within the program, but a queue sounds great to me too!
On a similar topic, I’d love for the default to be the locked room. Occasionally it has been, but I’m not sure why. Usually the default seems to be unlocked. I’ve had students logging in early sometimes, so if I forget to log in well ahead of time I feel like I have to wait right until lesson time to log in myself or they might already be there when I’m not quite ready for them.
Dear Laurel,
When multiple students are waiting, the section of the pop-up window in the screenshot below that shows “Remote Guest’s Name” is a list of all the waiting students. Checkmark whichever student(s) you’d like to admit, then press Admit.

You might find a locked session (waiting room active) if it’s been fewer than five minutes since the last person left the room and the room was locked when you last left.
I’ll bring your suggestion for having your room locked by default to the team. Thank you for your feedback!
Thank you,
David Liao
