Volume Level too low

  • Dear Ronald,

Thank you for your question. Under the name of the remote participant, drag the Monitor slider to the right to increase the volume of their sound in your headphones.

If you’d like to increase the volume of your own voice or instrument in your headphones, drag the Monitor slider to the right in the You (…) subpanel.

We recommend using our QuickStart guide. Under Step Zero: Choose Your Setup, click the Change audio button to get instructions for using FarPlay with an audio interface. Click Change computer if you’re using Windows. Sections 3 and 5 relate to volume.

    Thank you,
    David Liao

Thank you for your suggestion, but that was the first thing we tried.

Thank you for your reply. Could you try the following steps and share the result?

    • Open a FarPlay session (can be just by yourself).
    • Turn direct monitoring off on your Scarlett.
    • Drag the Monitor slider to 0 dB (alternatively, double-click the slider, and it will jump to 0 dB).
    • Speak/play with a lot of volume. Does the copy of your voice/instrument in your headphones have plenty of volume?

(Trying to figure out whether the problem might be on the other person’s end).

    Thank you,
    David Liao
