Mixer setting inaccessible

Initially, I was able to go to the View taskbar and choose the Mixer setting. Now it is not highlighted and inaccessible. What can I do to reactivate this Mixer setting?

Dear Kenneth,
In the Devices subpanel, click the Microphone pull-down menu and choose Input Mixer. When the Input Mixer is selected as the microphone, the Show Mixer item in the View menu becomes clickable.
