Hi Bill,
Yes, please open a FarPlay session first and then afterward use your UAD Console’s Hardware Settings Panel to change your Apollo’s sample rate to 96 kHz.
Thank you,
David Liao

Interesting … it seems like the FarPlay app locks the bit rate in UA’s Console while its running. When I enter the session in FarPlay, Console locks the rate and then when I exit, I can switch the rate back to 96K. Any thoughts?

Dear Bill,
This is really interesting. Anton was able to change the sample rate on a Focusrite audio interface after opening a FarPlay session. Could you describe why you’d like to run the Apollo at 96 kHz when using FarPlay?
Thank you,
David Liao
I’ve got a bunch of stuff set up in Console with outboard gear and it would just be far simpler to just use this set up with the Apollo X8 and the effects/routing/sends/etc. I will try this with a Volt interface (simpler USB i/f) and see what happens. Maybe its a function of the UAD Thunderbolt Driver wanting to not have a conflict with the FarPlay app? I’ll run the test and let you know …
