Reply To: Video not in sync with audio: camera latency?

Welcome, Mattias!

With available cameras, it’s normal for video latency to be noticeably higher than audio latency. Try playing according just to what you hear — the 18-19 ms of audio latency you’re getting will let you play as though you’re in the same room.

If you’d still like to improve audio-video sync, try using the built-in FaceTime camera on a pre-M1 Mac, if available.

Are you optimizing audio-video sync for a live show? If so, use FarPlay’s Broadcast Output feature to send live audio from FarPlay to your livestream app (through a virtual sound card). You can adjust Broadcast Output’s delay so your audience doesn’t hear the audio lead the video. Broadcast Output is available to Standard+ and For Teachers subscribers. Learn more here.

Thank you,
David Liao
