Sometimes I will launch FarPlay without my normal audio interface (digital mixer) turned on and FarPlay reverts to another device (which is fine). When I realize my mistake and turn on my preferred audio device and change the input mixer to use that device, I have to reset the channels. Most other audio software I use remembers the channel assignments on a per-device basis so the channels get restored automatically. I would love it if FarPlay did the same. Some other people I jam with, who are not as tech savvy as I am, make the same mistake at times, and I have to walk them through the process of reconfiguring their channels settings as well. If FarPlay just remembered the channel settings on a per-device basis, it would be faster to get everyone playing.
