In FarPlay’s main window, try switching Devices > Headphones: to No Audio. Then, switch back to your desired audio device. This resets the audio system.

If the problem continues, leaving the session and rejoining might help.

Try switching to a different audio output device. For example, if you are using a pair of headphones plugged into your sound card on a Windows PC, try using a pair of USB headphones (and select the new headphones you’re testing using the Devices > Headphones: pull-down menu in FarPlay’s main window).

To try to get an existing audio device to work on a Windows PC, try updating drivers using https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-drivers-manually-in-windows-ec62f46c-ff14-c91d-eead-d7126dc1f7b6.
