I tried to record session audio. A Save Recordings window appeared. I selected where I wanted to save the recording and clicked Save, but then a window appeared that said, ‘Recording failed: cannot open file for writing.’

This unusual error message typically appears when you try to save recordings to a folder which does not allow you to create/write files. The error also occurs when there is not enough space on the disk (we use the wav file format for uncompressed audio, which requires significant disk space). Please try to select a standard writable folder for recordings (like Documents) and make sure it has enough space (1 minute of mix recording requires about 12Mb of disk space; multi-track recording needs more space). Video takes more space on top of audio (amount depends on the video preferences of everyone in the session).
