Settings for Group music lessons

This is a huge concern for me. I am not very good at technology at all. I am 70 years old, a professional classically trained jazz rock Blues Cello Player. I got this app to be able to teach mainly Adult Cello students how to improvise online. I’ve been teaching that privately and locally for a while now.
A lot of these students, like me, are not going to be great at technology. I’ve already read some posts from other people about things like echo, and latency… Other things.
Here is my question. When they sign in on their cell phones or laptops, will there be settings for them and what should I tell them to put their settings at? And also especially for me, how should I set my settings ? I need to be able to communicate this stuff in a very clear way.
Is there an absolute for settings for people that sign in and for myself for Group lessons, or will it vary from Student to Student? I really really need help with this. I haven’t started yet but I am planning on starting shortly.

Thank you for your message.
To make it easy to tell students FarPlay’s minimum requirements and their setup steps and settings, we recommend sending them the sample message on our teaching-tips page (personalize the message by filling in the student’s name, your name, and your invitation link). The message tells students they’ll need a laptop/desktop computer (Mac, Windows, or Linux — phones are not supported), Ethernet cable to their fiber/cable router (strongly recommended if they’d like to play with you in sync), and wired headphones (not Bluetooth). The message also links to our QuickStart guide, which tells them what settings to use. The QuickStart guide also tells you, the teacher, the settings you should use.
It’s perfectly fine to send students who use different computers and audio equipment to the same QuickStart guide because each student can click the Change computer and Change audio buttons to choose the kind of computer and audio equipment they’d like to use, and the page will customize itself to give them the instructions that are right for them. The QuickStart guide links to our more detailed requirements page too.
Note: Your students don’t need to “sign in” or create an account. They just click the invitation link you send them to join your session.
