Several problems

  • Hi Justin, thank you for your message. What do you hear when you follow our QuickStart instructions https://farplay.io/quickstart/ through section 3. Configure and test your audio? (All the steps in the QuickStart from the beginning through section 3 can be done without connecting to another person).

    Thank you,
    David Liao

Tried again with paying more attention to QuickStart guide. Was able to have some success with 1 other participant stretched across entire USA…(about 70ms latency)…pretty fun! I was wondering with Standard+ subscription…how many people can join in a single session? I was hoping to try to do something with 6 locations.

Hi Justin, Happy the quickstart instructions helped and you had fun!

As long as you create a session as a subscriber, you can invite as many participants as you like (and the people you invite don’t have to be subscribers).

Practically, the number of sites that can join a session is limited by internet connection speeds. FarPlay is peer-to-peer, so connecting with more people uses more bandwidth. With fast internet connections (we recommend at least 50 Mbit/s of upload speed), FarPlay is great for a session from 6 locations. We know of a group of people who regularly meet from at least 8 (sometimes 10 or more) locations.

    Thank you,
    David Liao
