Hi Vince,
Love these questions! Yes, FarPlay’s Input Mixer lets you simultaneously bring audio in from up to 1 ASIO device and as many Windows audio devices as you like. The screenshot below shows what the Input Mixer looks like with the Focusrite USB ASIO drivers selected on track 1 and a couple Windows audio devices on tracks 2 and 3.

FarPlay doesn’t raise the latency of an ASIO device when you mix that ASIO device and a Windows audio device in the Input Mixer. If you see the local latency increase when you add a Windows audio device to the ASIO device in the Input Mixer (I saw a rise from 3 ms to 7 ms in a test), try to improve the performance of the Windows audio device by raising the (non-ASIO) Audio Buffer Size to 480. If that doesn’t help, switch from the DJI Bluetooth mic to a different Windows audio device (examples: webcam mic or headset plugged into PC’s audio jack).
Thank you,
David Liao

Thanks David, My drummer friend is using his drum module for direct USB audio, and now he’s using the DJI bluetooth mic for his voice. It’s working perfectly–the mic did not increase the latency, which is 10ms over fiber.
The only issue is: some of the ambient sound from the eDrums is coming through the mic (with a delay). Is there a way to put a mute function for that channel in the FarPlay mixer; and have the mute function (per channel) available as a keyboard press (shortcut) on the PC keyboard or maybe a MIDI CC from a page-turn foot pedal. I believe this feature would be very helpful for other musicians as well; for example, I use a mic mute switch on my XLR mic because I tend to tap my foot–haha.
Thanks,
Vince
Dear Vince,
Thanks for this happy update. To mute a track in the Input Mixer, click the “M” button
in that track. We don’t have keyboard shortcuts for these buttons — I will bring this good suggestion to the team.
Thank you,
